Learn how to set cell ranges in the InfinityXML sidebar at the press of a button!
You might have noticed that the InfinityXML add-on sidebar has a number of fields which reference cells in the spreadsheet: URL Range, XPath Range and Output Cell. And there are even more if you select a Power Up from the dropdown menu! It can be fiddly and error-prone to manually type in each cell range. But fear not! You’ll soon discover that little 🔍 button to the right of each field will make your life a lot easier. Here’s how…

This guide assumes you have already installed the add-on and opened the sidebar.

Step-by-step instructions #
- With the sidebar open and your desired sheet selected, highlight the range of data you want to use. For example, if you want to set the URL Range field to A2:A10 you would click A2 and drag down to A10 to select these cells (as indicated by a blue box surrounding them).
- Click the 🔍 button next to the field you want to set the cell range for. In the example above, you would click the 🔍 button next to the URL Range field in the sidebar. It would then fill with A2:A10.
- Simply repeat this process for the other fields!
